DBT: DBT: EUR 1.5 million to boost its technology – 09/23/2022 at 08:45

European pioneer and expert in electric mobility, the DBT Group (Euronext Growth – ALDBT) offers innovative and sustainable solutions for the energy transition.

The French company announces that it has received a grant of EUR1.5m

linked to the European recovery fund React-EU. The aid will finance the innovations deployed in its new fast and ultra-fast charging ranges.

Obtaining this grant is an important step in the group’s development strategy. A major player in the fast charging market,

DBT is currently experiencing strong development and 3-digit growth

possible thanks to the combination between high-performance products and the technical and financial requirements of the market. This aid will reinforce the means put in place to support the three pillars of an industrial policy resolutely oriented towards eco-sustainability.

  • Even more efficient technology

: commercialization in 2023 of a new range that allows charging between two and three times faster, anticipating future communication and payment standards

  • A robust industrial strategy

: Prioritization of local supplies for products manufactured by contracted employees in the Hauts-de-France employment area, with the aim of shortening delivery times and production time.

  • A commitment to the environment

: reliable and highly maintainable infrastructures, extending their useful life and reducing the carbon footprint of projects.

Thanks to this subsidy, which covers almost 85% of the investments

of the project until 2023, DBT plans to hire up to 15 people at its Brebières plant. The announcement of this boost is a reminder of the company’s efforts to finance its development plan. In July 2021, DBT had already announced that it had secured a grant from France-Relance that would increase the capacity of its northern plant tenfold by expanding production space and acquiring high-end test equipment.

The DBT technology project was selected by the Hauts-de-France Region, responsible for allocating Feder REACT-EU funds. React-EU is the acronym for ”

Recovery assistance for Europe’s cohesion and territories

“. The objective of this endowment is to provide financial support to project promoters to contribute to economic recovery. The program prioritizes the ecological and digital transitions for a smart and sustainable post-pandemic recovery.

I would like to especially thank the Hauts-de-France region, which supported us in obtaining this grant. The race for excellence in the design and manufacture of complex technological equipment leads us to constantly innovate to offer the market reliable, fast and easy-to-maintain solutions. This financing will allow us to reinforce our strengths on the strengths that make us successful today: quality products with a sustainable industrial model. This is the challenge of this financing program that values the know-how of the territories to develop eco-sustainable solutions for the mobility of the future. »,

concludes Alexandre BORGOLTZ, Director General of DBT
