According to a study by Adecco-Analytics, presented by franceinfo and Le Parisien, in the next twelve months, from October 1, 2022, 4,515,168 positions will become vacant in France. Restoration is the sector that will hire the most.
Good news on the employment front in France.
As of October 1, more than 4.5 million hires are expected in the next twelve months, according to a study by Adecco-Analytics, revealed by franceinfo and Le Parisien on Monday, September 26. Among the positions to be filled, 43% will be permanent contracts (contract indefinite), that is, about two million jobs, 30% fixed-term contracts (fixed-term contracts), 20% interim (full-time equivalent) and 7% under an apprenticeship contract or as part of an internship.
The 4,515,168 positions will be open in all French regions and will affect many sectors. According to the employment barometer of the Adecco-Analytics group, the professions that will hire the most are concentrated in catering (193,223 expected hires), storage and order preparation (190,757), kitchen staff (163,682), local cleaning (138,785) and polyvalent restaurant staff (129,686). Accountants, sales assistants or even prêt-à-porter sellers, among others, are also sought.
Geographic disparities
As expected, Ile-de-France will be the region that will hire the most, with 971,075 expected hires, or 21.5% of the total forecast, the study indicates. Then come Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (595,915), Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (419,581), New Aquitaine (402,925), Occitanie (373,069), Hauts-de-France (361,403), Grand Est (320,082), Pays de la Loire (278,538), Brittany (217,851), Normandy (216,566), Burgundy-Franche-Comté (190,301) and Centre-Val de Loire (145,432). Corsica, the least populated region of France, is in the last position (22,404).
