Peugeot, Citroën, Opel: withdrawal of many potentially dangerous vehicles

Three of these recalls concern Peugeot vehicles.

the 1st reminder only includes Peugeot Expertand the peugeot traveler. The models, identified as e2*2007/46*0532*17 and e2*2007/46*0532*19, Rapex alert number A12/01314/22, were produced between January 20 and 28, 2022.

They are dangerous because “the rear brake may be defective, which reduces the performance of the service brakes, which increases the risk of an accident”, explains RappelConso.

“The product does not comply with the regulations on homologation and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, as well as of the systems, components and independent technical units intended for said vehicles”, it can be read in Rapexthe European Community system for the rapid exchange of information on the dangers arising from the use of products.

Next, the second reminder evokes the same types of vehicles to which we must add 208 and the 2008. Cars affected by this second warning are identified as follows: e2*2007/46*0532*18, e2*2007/46*0533*20, e2*2007/46*0639*18. They were assembled between March 17 and April 30, 2022, Rapex alert number A12/01307/22.

These have a “high voltage wiring harness that may be faulty”. This could lead to an increased risk of fire.”

Again, “the product does not comply with the regulations relating to the homologation and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of the systems, components and independent technical units intended for said vehicles”, it reads -continues in Rapex.

The third and last reminder of Peugeot cars relates exclusively to 208 designed between August 5 and November 23, 2021.

This time, vehicles identified as e2*2007/46*0639*14, e2*2007/46*0639*15, e2*2007/46*0639*16, e2*2007/46*0639**17 would show “a fuel line that can rub against other components causing fuel to leak, creating a fire hazard.” Rapex’s alert number is A12/01315/22.

For all these vehicles, RappelConso recommends contacting the dealer.

Citroëns and Opel also recalled

RappelConso also warns about Scary and the space traveler Citroën, assembled between January 20 and 28, 2022. It also evokes lively and the sapphire of Opel designed on the same dates.

Citroën’s identification number is e2*2007/46*0530*17 and e2*2007/46*0530*19.

For Opel, the number is e2*2007/46*0532*17 and e2*2007/46*0532*19.

For these two withdrawals, the Rapex alert number is A12/01312/22.

These are recalled because “the rear brake may be faulty, which could cause the service brakes to lose effectiveness, which could increase the risk of an accident.”

Again, RappelConso advises “contact the distributor”.
