Could the mystery of the appearance of life on Earth finally be solved? So far hundreds of hypotheses have been proposed without really convincing. Some even appealed to an extraterrestrial origin. The theory proposed by the PD Ada Yonath, from the Weizmann Institute of Sciences (Israel), locates the first jolts of life between two RNA molecules.
