It’s been a week since the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max were released. The public was thus able to discover the incredible novelty of the apple: the Dynamic Island. A true revolution from the point of view of software, the competition soon wanted to copy the apple.
During the Apple Keynote on September 7, 2022, Apple surprised everyone by launching an incredible software innovation. While all the rumors suggested that the notch would almost completely disappear, Apple finally made the decision to transform one of these weaknesses into a real strength.. This innovation is called Dynamic Island and is already the envy of the competition.
Android smartphone makers, as well as app developers, are already working on methods to mimic Apple’s Dynamic Island. The democratization of AMOLED as well as the holes dedicated to the front cameras make it easy to copy the magic pill. It’s been two weeks since Apple’s Keynote took place, and yet the knockoffs are already coming to Android.
Developers are working hard to bring Dynamic Island to Android
Thus, just a few days after the arrival of the iPhone 14 Pro, the first Dynamic Island fakes saw the light.. The first were also a group of independent developers who managed to create themes similar to the Apple feature on Xiaomi smartphones. For obvious reasons, these are still beta versions in development, but they were really the first participants to want to copy this feature.
In the coming weeks, we expect the Xiaomi Theme Store, as well as those of other manufacturers with adapted third-party theme engines, to start adopting this feature in numbers. In addition to these themes, the first applications are already appearing in the Play Store in early access – as dynamic point.
It is enough to type “Dynamic” in the search bar of the Android application store, to realize that a long list of results already exists. Therefore, it is clear that this Apple feature arouses a lot of interest. As we explained earlier, dynamic point it was the first to hit the Play Store (in early access), but it certainly won’t be the last.
But not everything is software since the next Xiaomi Civi will also adopt a tablet similar to that of the iPhone 14 Pro. Therefore, it is a safe bet that the software of the Chinese brand will follow the ideology of Apple. One thing is for sure, this is just the beginning!
The dark side of Dynamic Island on Android
As is often the case when setting up new software, this has some drawbacks, particularly from an accessibility clearance standpoint.as this is indeed the biggest Android security issue. In particular, it is a good gateway to Android systems for pirates and hackers.. Don’t worry anyway, on paper there shouldn’t be too many problems if you download this type of application from the Play Store, always bearing in mind that if they are in the store, they are safe (logically).
