The famous “Dynamic Island” feature of the iPhone 14 Pro, which is causing a lot of ink to flow, is now available on Android by downloading a simple application. Not everything is perfect yet, but the result is already promising.
With its iPhone 14 Pro, Apple introduced the feature dynamic island that allows to display contextual information while cleverly hiding the “pill” that integrates the front camera module and the various sensors for facial recognition unlocking. An Android app that copies this operation is now available on Android through the Play Store.

This was to be expected and it happened pretty quickly. Some Android manufacturers are already ready to copy dynamic islandbut a developer by the name of Jawomo prioritized everyone. In fact, it already offers in early access in the Play Store an application called “dynamicSpot – Multitasking”. At the time of writing this article, he already has more than 50,000 downloads.
The app allows you to display recent notifications on a floating island that sits at the level of the camera module on the front of your phone. The developer has also thought about the positioning of the latter according to the location of the front camera of your phone.
Not everything works as smoothly as it does on iOS yet, but the app is already relatively convincing for a beta version. Some options are interesting, such as the ability to show up to two pop-up notifications at the same time or swipe left to delete the pill.

Some features are reserved for the paid version of the app (a one-time payment of €3.99). This is the case of the display of the dynamic island on the lock screen or the possibility of long pressing on the window to enlarge or reduce it. It is also possible to have it disappear automatically after the duration of your choice.
To make it work as well as possible, the app asks for full accessibility controls when setting it up. Thus, you can control everything displayed on your smartphone screen or monitor interactions with apps on your behalf. On the summary page of “dynamic point”the developer specifies however that no data is collected or shared with third parties.
