The Bugatti W16 Mistral is shown for the first time in Europe at the Chantilly Concours d’Elegance

This is arguably one of the last, if not the last, iterations of Bugatti’s W16 engine. The Bugatti W16 Mistral made its first European public appearance during the Chantilly Concours d’Élégance on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Officially named the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille, this event allowed “nearly 16,000 visitors” to admire the French supercar.

The new production of the Molsheim firm had already been presented in the United States during the Pebble Beach Concours d’Élégance in August 2022. As Bugatti reminds us, the opportunities to see this W16 Mistral should be quite rare, since the car only it is produced in 99 copies. Sold at a price of five million euros, they are all reserved.

The supercar, however, left the Concours d’Elegance in which nine cars were entered empty-handed, despite the fact that it was presented alongside a model dressed in a black dress encrusted with yellow Swarovski crystals. These colors echo the tones of the car’s interior upholstery.

Powered by the famous Bugatti W16 8.0, the W16 Mistral develops no less than 1,600 horsepower. The top speed of this unique roadster is potentially in excess of 420 km/h. Aesthetically, the car stands out for its huge rear diffuser or even for its X-shaped light signature, reminiscent of the Bugatti Bolide.
