Arkema has revised upwards its global capacity expansion for Pebax elastomers at its Serquigny plant in France, from the previously announced +25% to +40%, in two separate phases. The first phase will take place in the first quarter of 2023 with a 15% increase in global capacity, with an additional 25% starting in the third quarter of 2023. Beyond this new capacity expansion in France and to support growth of its global clients, the group is currently evaluating other investment opportunities, particularly in Asia.

Cabasse suffered a net loss of €829,000 in the first half of 2022, an improvement of €0.3 million in one year. The Ebitda of the specialist in the Smart Home universe (Smart Home) stood at -567,000 euros compared to a positive Ebitda of 308,000 in the first half of 2021. It was “impacted by transport costs and the evolution of the dollar”. At the same time, consolidated turnover fell by 9%, to 12.4 million euros.

Leroy Merlin and Voltalia, an international player in renewable energies, have signed a CPPA (Corporate Power Purchase Agreement) for the production of an additional solar power plant with a capacity of 30 megawatts built specifically for Leroy Merlin and located in the Centre- Loire Valley. This agreement is concluded at a price determined in advance for a minimum period of 15 years (possible extension) and will allow Leroy Merlin to obtain approximately 15% of its electricity consumption from renewable energies. Commissioning of the solar power plant is scheduled for 2025.
