The Voice Kids: Raynaud continues the adventure

He did it ! Raynaud won his “battle” and qualified for the semifinal of The Voice Kids season eight. During the program broadcast last night on TF1, the Tamponnais faced two other candidates from Patrick Fiori’s team: Océane (14 years old) and Katia (12 years old). The three budding artists performed Johnny Hallyday’s “Live for the best,” a particularly difficult song from a technical point of view. But Raynaud was not impressed. The youngest of the trio gave it their all and when he ripped out the first notes of the chorus, everyone’s jaws dropped. It must be said that he sends heavy!

At the end, Louane, Julien Doré, Kendji Girac and Patrick Bruel stood up to applaud the children’s great performance. We also saw Raynaud’s parents, Nelly and Dominique Sadon, in the audience, visibly proud of their son’s performance. His older brother Jimmy couldn’t make the trip this time.

After a moment’s hesitation and some exchanges with his colleagues, Patrick Fiori decided to stay with Raynaud. “At that time I was very happy but I didn’t realize it. If not, I would have fallen to the ground, I think. And mom too”, jokes the semi-finalist. Unlike the blind auditions, the university student could not choose the title that he was going to interpret for this stage. To respect a form of fairness among the candidates, it is the members of the jury who impose the songs during the battles. “I knew this piece, but I had never sung it before,” says Raynaud. Like her other two classmates, she trained with her trainer and a teacher. “I was with a vocal coach and Patrick Fiori. It went very well,” she explains.

Despite the challenge, when he went on stage, the man from Reunion knew how to remain “zen”. “My heart was filled with joy. I was already very happy to be qualified for the blind auditions, now I am even more so!” she says with a big smile. Same speech by her mother: “I’m very happy for him. His dream is to become a singer. I would like it to come true. I pray that it becomes a reality!” repeats Nelly Sadon. The euphoria has passed, Raynaud and his family are already preparing for the next event, which will be broadcast next Saturday, still on TF1. We cross our fingers.
