At the Fatih Terim stadium in Istanbul, Turkey had to fight to draw against Luxembourg (3-3) and confirm their promotion to Ligue B.
Everything, or almost, will have been decided in the first act. Taking advantage of a disagreement between Kaan Ayhan and Ugurçan Çakir, Marvin Martins opened the scoring (0-1, 9me)before Çengiz Ünder answered him from the penalty spot ten minutes later (1-1, 16me). Dominating, the Turks were however surprised for the second time after a new defensive error, converted by Danel Sinani. (1-2, 37me). Those present finally change sides at the end of the period, Maxime Chanot scores against his field in a wild clearance, in the skylight (2-2, 39me).
Less rhythmic, the second half will have seen only a few scattered opportunities to mark the end of the game, especially for the hosts. Eren Elmali’s long attempt thus acted as a spark (62me), quickly extinguished by Gerson Rodrigues. The striker, forgotten at the penalty spot, closed the beautiful party of the incoming Florian Bohnert, to return the advantage to his team (2-3, 69me). Unfortunately, a missile planted by Ismail Yuksek will destroy the joy of Roud liewen (3-3, 87me).
